2020 started with the affiliation of the Lithuanian Iron Wolf Brigade and Polish 15th Mechanized Brigade to Multinational Division North East, it ended with an exercise demonstrating our ability to reinforce each other across national boundaries.
71 years ago, on April 4, 1949, the North Atlantic Treaty was signed. Under it, on August 24, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization was established. 21 years ago, on March 12, 1999, Poland became its member. Today in our country there are many structures of the Alliance. The youngest of them is the Headquarters of the Multinational Division North East, which achieved its Full Operational Capability two years ago, December 6, 2018.
