Fall Prevention Focus begins May 3-7, 2021, the Department of the Air Force is partnering for the eighth year with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration on the National Safety Stand-Down to prevent falls.

The Department of the Air Force is kicking off the third annual Spring PMV-2 Focus on March 21, with the goal of reaching 100% of all military motorcycle riders. Efforts will concentrate on updating rider information in the Motorcycle Unit Safety Tracking Tool (MUSTT), including validation that training requirements are being met and ensuring all riders schedule and attend overdue training.
The Department of the Air Force partners with OSHA in Safe + Sound Week each August. Safe + Sound is a nationwide event to raise awareness about workplace safety.
During a normal year, the Air Force Safety Center delivers in-house safety education and training to approximately 2,000 students through 11 professional courses in 70 sessions, they have switched to conducting these classes all virtually, due to the global pandemic.
One Airman or Space Professional lost to a fall mishap is one too many. Since 2015 there have been 15 fatalities and permanent disabilities caused by on and off-duty falls in the Air Force. That’s one of the many reasons we are passionate about fall prevention. Take some time to focus on fall prevention July 20-24 using this year’s Air Force theme, “Calling All Fall Prevention Warriors!”
