Sgt. 1st Class Jacob Kohrs, 11th Army Air and Missile Defense Command, accepts the Staff Sgt. Paul D. Savanuck Outstanding Military Writer award at the 2026 Public Affairs Forum in Alexandria, VA., May 29, 2026. The award is named after Savanuck, who was killed in action during the Vietnam War. The forum, hosted by the Army Communications and Outreach Office, recognized winners of the annual Maj. Gen. Keith L. Ware Awards, as well as the 2026 Spc. Hilda I.
