U.S. Airforce Airmen 1st Class Kira De Guzman, an air transportation apprentice assigned to 1st Special Operations Squadron, 353st Special Operations Wing, ties a bomb dummy unit (BDU) to a cargo pallet after an ordnance disposal operation at Ie Shima, Japan, May 28, 2026. EOD Marines disposed of numerous pieces of unexploded ordnance, discovered by local farmers, in order to preserve the safety of the local community. Guzman is a native of Maryland.
