U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. William Kaiser, an explosive ordnance disposal technician and Capt. Dane Schielke, an EOD officer, both assigned to EOD, Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, push a bomb dummy unit (BDU) after an ordnance disposal operation at Ie Shima, Japan, May 28, 2026. EOD Marines disposed of numerous pieces of unexploded ordnance, discovered by local farmers, in order to preserve the safety of the local community. Kaiser and Schielke are both natives of Florida.
