Maag, recovery non-commissioned officer, Defense POW/ MIA Accounting Agency 26-3LA recovery team 2, fixes sifting screens during a recovery mission in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, March 21, 2026. Soil from excavated units are transferred to screening stations where U.S. personnel and local workers search for aircraft wreckage, life support material and possible remains.
