U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Andrew March, Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency team sergeant, digs during a recovery operation in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, March 13, 2026. Soil from excavation units is transferred to screening stations where U.S. personnel and Lao citizens search for aircraft parts, life support material and possible remains.
