Mr. Urs Waterline, correspondent for German and Swiss Media Outlets, captures audio of local workers digging for a radio news piece, March 10, 2023 in Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands. The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency is working in the area in an attempt to recover missing service members from World War II. Guadalcanal was the location of many important battles in the Pacific Theater during WWII between the Allies and the Japanese and there are still 5,800 missing U.S. service members in the region.
