Karl Thomas, Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet, is piped aboard during a change of command ceremony in the Sea of Japan, Oct 7. During the ceremony, Goldhammer was properly relieved by Capt. Daryle Cardone as the commanding officer. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
