220405-N-LI114-1025 YOKOSUKA, Japan (April 5, 2022) Senior Chief Quartermaster Samantha Honaker, from Denver, speaks to Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) Sailors of the Year on the flag bridge of the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Commander, Task Force 70 sponsored the tour, enabling 7th Fleet and JMSDF Sailors to engage face-to-face aboard Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
