Multi-Domain Command-Europe launches High Altitude Balloons (HABs) and dispatches recovery teams in Powidz, Poland during exercise Cold Raptor. Sgt. Eric Atwater and Sgt. Shakir Claxton, both 25S - satellite communication systems operator-maintainers from the Extended Range Sensing and Effects Company (ERSE), explain the mission of Cold Raptor and what the team learned throughout the multiple launches and recoveries. Cold Raptor gave Soldiers hands-on experience launching, tracking and operating tactical balloons in a European environment while refining the procedures they will use during future missions.
