The North Dakota Air National Guard partnered with the University of North Dakota Aerospace program and the Bureau of Indian Affairs Police Academy to train with unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for use in search and rescue operations at Camp Grafton South, near McHenry, N.D. on September 17-18, 2025.
Civil Engineer (CE) airmen learn Rapid Airfield Damage and Recovery at the 119th Wing Regional Training Site. RADR training teaches CE members how to recover a damage airfield at a deployed location. The training provides hands on learning, working with equipment and other airmen to become familiar with each members specific tasks. RADR also gives members a chance to observe other members roles to further the multi-purpose airmen concept.
