    U.S. Army Pfc. Rothaniel Leveque, a military police officer assigned to the 603rd Military Police Company, pulls a fully filled water can during day one of the Dark Knight competition held at Ādaži Military Base, Latvia, Sept. 7, 2026. Competitors dragged approximately 44 pounds while moving through a low crawl to challenge their upper-body strength, endurance and controlled movement, simulating the physical demands of moving equipment or supplies while maintaining a low profile in a tactical environment. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO Allies.
