    U.S. Army V Corps

    U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 603rd Military Police Company start the two-mile run portion of the Army Fitness Test during the Dark Knight competition held at Ādaži Military Base, Latvia, Sept. 7, 2026. The first day of the five-day competition focused on physical fitness, challenging competitors with the Army Fitness Test and a series of demanding physical events designed to assess strength, endurance and overall readiness. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO Allies.
