    U.S. Army Spc. Jagger Moreland, a military police officer assigned to the 603rd Military Police Company, pulls a weighted sled during the Army Fitness Test portion of the Dark Knight competition held at Ādaži Military Base, Latvia, Sept. 7, 2026. The competition pushed Soldiers beyond their comfort zones through multiple days of physical fitness events, medical lanes and weapons ranges, challenging their endurance, technical proficiency and ability to execute fundamental warrior tasks and battle drills under pressure. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO Allies.
