FORT RILEY, Kan. — Army ROTC Cadet Jack Rebsch, a nursing student from the University of Cincinnati, secures an intravenous line with tape for a patient preparing for surgery at Irwin Army Community Hospital. Guiding and supervising the procedure is MAJ Lance Murray, an IACH perioperative nurse, who served as Rebsch's clinical preceptor to ensure strict safety and medical protocols were met. Rebsch, who successfully performed the IV insertion prior to securing it, is participating in the four-week Nurse Summer Training Program (NSTP) to gain advanced clinical skills in an active-duty Army medical facility.
