FORT RILEY, Kan. — Army ROTC Cadet Perla Flores Aguirre, a nursing student from Lander University and an enlisted Human Resources Specialist (42A) in the Army Reserve, poses in front of a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter at Marshall Army Airfield, July 31. Flores Aguirre, who expects to commission into the Army Nurse Corps in December 2026, toured the airfield alongside other cadets participating in the Nurse Summer Training Program (NSTP) at Irwin Army Community Hospital. The tour culminated in a familiarization flight over the Kansas Flint Hills, helping the future officer bridge her background in Army administration with active-duty aviation and medical evacuation.
