FORT RILEY, Kan. — Framed through the open window of a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter, Army ROTC Cadet Claire Troshynski, a nursing student from Texas Christian University, smiles with anticipation at Marshall Army Airfield, July 31, prior to a familiarization flight over the Kansas Flint Hills. The flight, coordinated as part of the Nurse Summer Training Program (NSTP) at Irwin Army Community Hospital, allowed Troshynski to experience Army aviation firsthand. It was a milestone for the future officer who aspires to serve as an Army Enroute Critical Care Nurse (ECCN) providing trauma care in the sky.
