Jeff Hasson hugs his daughter, 2nd Lt. Hasson is branching Medical Services in the Illinois Army National Guard and has served for five years as an enlisted Soldier in the Illinois Army National Guard’s Macomb-based 616th Engineer Utility Detachment. She is pursuing a double major in Vision Rehabilitation and Nonprofit and Nongovernmental Organization Studies at NIU. She completed three internships and is the only undergraduate enrolled in graduate-level courses. The ROTC program commissioned 10 new Army second lieutenants, five of whom are joining the Illinois Army National Guard.
