Davenport is branching as a Medical Officer in the active Army. He served for six years in the Illinois Army National Guard serving with the North Riverside-based 128th Field Feeding Platoon. He is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Communications, is on the Dean’s List, and is a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity at NIU. The ROTC program commissioned 10 new Army second lieutenants, five of whom are joining the Illinois Army National Guard.
