U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Dezarae A. Graves refuels a Humvee during a resupply mission during KAMANDAG 3 on Colonel Ernesto P. Ravina Air Base, Philippines, Oct. 11, 2019. Marines with Combat Logistics Detachment 342 provide operational readiness and logistical support to Marines attached to 3rd Marine Division during exercise KAMANDAG 3. KAMANDAG helps participating forces maintain a high level of readiness and responsiveness, and enhances combined military-to-military relations, interoperability, and multinational coordination. KAMANDAG 3 is a Philippine-led, bilateral exercise with participation from Japan. KAMANDAG is an acronym for the Filipino phrase “Kaagapay Ng Mga Manirigma Ng Dagat,” which translates to “Cooperation of the Warriors of the Sea,” highlighting the partnership between the U.S. and Philippine militaries. Graves, a native of League City, Texas, is a motor transportation operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 4, Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3rd Marine Logistics Group.
