U.S. Marine Corps Explosive Ordnance Disposal technicians conducted EOD scenarios with the Armed Forces of the Philippines during KAMANDAG 3 on Colonel Ernesto P. Ravina Air Base, Philippines, Oct. 10, 2019. The scenarios consisted of periods of instruction and dynamic demonstrations. KAMANDAG helps participating forces maintain a high level of readiness and responsiveness, and enhances combined military-to-military relations, interoperability, and multinational coordination. KAMANDAG 3 is a Philippine-led, bilateral exercise with participation from Japan. KAMANDAG is an acronym for the Filipino phrase “Kaagapay Ng Mga Manirigma Ng Dagat,” which translates to “Cooperation of the Warriors of the Sea,” highlighting the partnership between the U.S. and Philippine militaries.
