U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Kamran W. Haile uses a multi-tool to tighten a screw on an air conditioning unit during KAMANDAG 3 on Colonel Ernesto P. Ravina Air Base, Philippines, Oct. 9, 2019. Electricians with Combat Logistics Detachment 342 supply power to the Shock Trauma Platoon tents and air conditioning units. KAMANDAG helps participating forces maintain a high level of readiness and responsiveness, and enhances combined military-to-military relations, interoperability, and multinational coordination. KAMANDAG 3 is a Philippine-led, bilateral exercise with participation from Japan. KAMANDAG is an acronym for the Filipino phrase “Kaagapay Ng Mga Manirigma Ng Dagat,” which translates to “Cooperation of the Warriors of the Sea,” highlighting the partnership between the U.S. and Philippine militaries.
