The 86th Airlift Wing hosts Civil Air Patrol cadets during a CAP European Encampment at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, July 9-17, 2026. A total of 80 cadets from throughout the United States and Europe immersed themselves in learning about multiple aeronautical career fields including air traffic control, aircraft maintainers, weather specialists and more across the installation. Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force David R. Wolfe and his wife, Dr. Doniel Wolfe, visited the 701st Munitions Support Squadron at Kleine Brogel Air Base, Belgium, July 16, to engage with forward-deployed Airmen, assess mission readiness, and highlight the vital role Airmen and their families play in roles outside traditional Air Force installations and support.
To keep military working dogs mission-ready, U.S. Army veterinarians and U.S. Air Force dental technicians at Spangdahlem Air Base are working side-by-side to ensure the 52nd Security Forces Squadron’s canine teeth stay sharp and in the fight.
U.S. Air Force Airmen and aircraft are slated to join Royal Air Force forces for Exercise COMBAT ARCHER UK 2026 (CA-UK ‘26), scheduled July 13-24, 2026. Participating units and assets as a part of COMBAT ARCHER will be F-35A Lightning IIs and F-15E Strike Eagles from the 48th Fighter Wing, alongside 100th Air Refueling Wing KC-135 Stratotankers, and 83rd Fighter Weapons Squadron.
