As the United States prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary, it’s a moment to reflect on the enduring vigilance, reach and power that has safeguarded the nation’s liberty. For the Department of the Air Force, this quarter millennial is a tribute to a storied heritage of defending America in the air, space and cyberspace. From the early days of the Army Air Corps to the establishment of the U.S. Air Force as a global superpower, Airmen have been the defenders of freedom.

Air Mobility Command shapes large-scale exercises through early, enterprise-wide planning that links requirements, capabilities and constraints across the joint force. That groundwork allows mobility forces to be tested realistically and integrated effectively during execution.
Large-scale exercises connect planning, execution and assessment accross air, space, and joint domains to mirror the demands of modern conflict. Through the Department-Level Exercise series, the Department of the Air Force evaluates how effectively units operate together at scale and uses those insights to improve readiness for high-end operations.
To maintain and advance its ability to rapidly deploy anytime, anywhere, Air Mobility Command has empowered units to experiment with new procedures and strategies to broaden their capabilities before the next major conflict.
