African American-Black History Month is a time for recognizing the roles contributions African American’s have made to our history. This year’s Camp Arifjan, Kuwait observance was hosted by the 1st Theater Sustainment Command on Feb. 22, 2017.
The theme of this year’s observance was “Success always leaves footprints,” a quote by Booker T. Washington, the first African-American to receive an honorary doctorate from Harvard University.
The 14th Human Resource Sustainment Center, deployed to Camp As Saliyah, Qatar, coordinates, integrates, and synchronizes personnel accountability and strength reporting, casualty reporting, Army postal operations, and reception staging and onward movement tracking and analysis throughout the theater as prescribed by Army service component command guidelines.
In order to plan and prepare for future operations the U.S. Army uses Movement Control Teams to maintain accountability of supplies and their locations as they move throughout the U.S. Army Central Commands area of responsibility.
