The image shows a group of soldiers in camouflage uniforms conducting what appears to be a military field training exercise in a forested outdoor area. Two soldiers in the foreground are assisting or dragging a third soldier along the ground, while additional soldiers move in the background. One soldier is wearing a gas mask and tactical vest, suggesting CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear) training scenarios.

Members of the Swedish Home Guard 296 chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense Platoon evacuate a simulated casualty during Exercise Archipelago Endeavor 26 in Berga, Sweden, Sept. 4, 2026. Combined training between U.S. Marines and the Swedish Armed Forces was focused on CBRN defense, medical crisis response, and amphibious operations, bringing CBRN and medical personnel together to respond to injured personnel following a simulated hazardous-area mission. Swedish personnel practiced casualty evacuation while operating in protective equipment as part of the combined response. Archipelago Endeavor 26 strengthens bilateral interoperability, littoral defense capabilities, and tactical cooperation while demonstrating the readiness of U.S. and Swedish forces to operate together in the Baltic Sea region.
