Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll administers the oath of office to four U.S. Merchant Marine Academy midshipmen commissioning as U.S. Army second lieutenants during the Academy’s 90th Commencement, June 22. The graduates join the Army after completing USMMA’s rigorous academic, maritime, and leadership training program, which prepares licensed officers to support joint operations and national defense.
