U.S. Soldiers assigned to 1st Battalion, 501st Aviation Regiment, Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Armored Division, conduct a foot march to the next event during the 1‑501st Aviation Battalion Belt Buckle Rodeo on Fort Bliss, Texas, May 26, 2026. During the six‑mile march, Soldiers were tested on unit history as part of the competition. The belt buckle rodeo, modeled after a cavalry scout spur ride, is the first of its kind for the battalion and included multiple strenuous events and ruck marches to build camaraderie and distinguish participants from other aviation units.
