U.S. Soldiers assigned to 1st Battalion, 501st Aviation Regiment, Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Armored Division, conduct a forward arming and refueling point lane during the 1‑501st Aviation Battalion Belt Buckle Rodeo on Fort Bliss, Texas, May 26, 2026. The lane required Soldiers to unravel and correctly connect a series of hoses, then rapidly break down the equipment while being timed. The belt buckle rodeo, modeled after a cavalry scout spur ride, is the first of its kind for the battalion and included multiple strenuous events and ruck marches to build camaraderie and distinguish participants from other aviation units.
