U.S. Army 1st Lt. Frankie Rivera, assigned to 1st Battalion, 501st Aviation Regiment, Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Armored Division, conducts a remote Hellfire lane during the 1‑501st Aviation Battalion Belt Buckle Rodeo on Fort Bliss, Texas, May 26, 2026. The lane required Soldiers to identify the correct grid coordinates, request a simulated strike, run a Hellfire missile to the simulated targets, and return it to the start point. The belt buckle rodeo, modeled after a cavalry scout spur ride, included multiple strenuous events and ruck marches to build camaraderie and distinguish participants from other aviation units.
