    1st Armored Division

U.S. Soldiers assigned to 1st Battalion, 501st Aviation Regiment, Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Armored Division, conduct a remote Hellfire lane during the 1‑501st Aviation Battalion Belt Buckle Rodeo on Fort Bliss, Texas, May 26, 2026. The lane required Soldiers to identify the correct grid coordinates, request a simulated strike, run a Hellfire missile to the simulated targets, and return it to the start point. The belt buckle rodeo, modeled after a cavalry scout spur ride, is the first of its kind for the battalion and included multiple strenuous events and ruck marches to build camaraderie and distinguish participants from other aviation units.
