Frank Axelsen, commander of Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Pensacola pins a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal on Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Christopher Faltings, assigned to NMRTC Pensacola during an awards ceremony held at U.S. Naval Hospital Pensacola, Feb. 13, 2026. Falting’s leadership directly bolstered combat readiness. He qualified 18 Sailors in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), increasing the command's medical readiness by 10 percent.
