Dr. hab. Krzysztof Rebala Institute of National Remembrance spoke about the application of the CODIS DNA database in genetic identification of victims of wars and totalitarian regimes in Poland during the fourth Scientific Summit in Milan, Italy, Sept. 18, 2025. The event was co-hosted by DPAA and the University of Milan, Laboratory of Forensic Anthropology and Odontology. The event sought to share developments in DNA analysis techniques while creating a space to network, share ideas, and discuss new ways to improve current identification methods.
