Dr. Stephen Naji, Commonwealth War Graves Commission head of Recovery Unit, briefed about forensic archaeology during the fourth Scientific Summit in Milan, Italy, Sept. 18, 2025. The summit included information about ongoing recoveries, identification processes and advancements, partnerships and innovations, and any significant developments regarding specific cases of missing service members. With 16 different countries in attendance, the event sought to share innovations in forensic identification, isotope testing, and DNA analysis while fostering international cooperation in the scientific community.
