Krzyszof Mikolajczyk, Institute of National Remembrance briefed about searching for and identifying victims of totalitarian regimes in the research of the Institute of National Remembrance in Poland during the fourth Scientific Summit in Milan, Italy, Sept. 18, 2025. The event was co-hosted by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency and the University of Milan, Laboratory of Forensic Anthropology and Odontology. With 16 different countries in attendance, the event sought to share innovations in forensic identification, isotope testing, and DNA analysis while fostering international cooperation in the scientific community.
