250905-N-OV429-1005: NEWPORT, RI (September 5, 2025). Hospital Corpsman Third Class Solmarie Ambertmedina was presented the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal by Capt. Rona Green, Commanding Officer, Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command New England during an awards presentation, Sept. 5, 2025. Ambertmedina received the award for her work in the hospital's dental department for her direct support which enabled 21,000 dental exams and thousands of procedures and diagnostic services. Her efforts ensured a 93 percent operational dental readiness for 51 tenant commands and directly contributed to the successful of 2,000 candidates—strengthening deployability and warfighter readiness. Additionally, she served as a Basic Life Support instructor, where trainees under her held a 100 percent pass rate, increasing the clinic’s lifesaving capabilities. (U.S. Navy photo by Lt.
