On April 10th, 2019, Naval Health Clinic New England (NHCNE) Sailors were meritoriously advanced to the next paygrade through the Meritorious Advancement Program. The NHCNE Triad, along with other leadership, surprised 11 Sailors with news of their immediate advancement and they were pinned by their leadership with the new rank insignia. Naval Health Clinic New England (NHCNE), including its three branch health clinics, will transition to the Defense Health Agency (DHA) on Oct. 1, 2019.
NHCNE Hospital Corpsman Third Class (HM3) Kassandra Betancourt was the honored recipient of two prestigious awards recently. On June 21, R.I. Military Women Across the Nation (MWAN) Unit #118 celebrated her selection as the R.I. Active Duty Military Woman of the Year. She subsequently received the NAVSTA Newport, R.I., 2018 Bluejacket of the Year award sponsored by the Navy League of Newport County and Kiwanis Club of Newport on June 28.
