250905-N-OV429-1004: NEWPORT, RI (September 5, 2025). Hospital Corpsman Third Class Kevin Baffoeplanche was presented the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal by Capt. Rona Green, Commanding Officer, Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command New England during an awards presentation, Sept. 5, 2025. Baffoeplanche was awarded for his service as the general duty Corpsman for the hospital's medical homeport department. Baffoeplanche supported 14 providers in the care of more than 4,907 beneficiaries, increasing access to care by 18 percent and enhancing mission readiness. As physical therapy administrator, he managed 2,176 encounters and resolved 56 overdue referrals, boosting capacity by 23 percent. As the safety lead, he guided 20 training hours, properly disposed of 121 waste items, and resolved 23 safety issues reducing risk to providers by 30 percent. (U.S. Navy photo by Lt. Sydney Wall).
