A processer machine is able to grab cut trees, then measure out preset lengths while removing branches, then cut and separate into dimensional lumber, chipping material, and bundles to be burnt. Timber and logging companies, Sierra Pacific Industries and Peterson Timber, work an active timber harvest sale in the McBride Plantation area just southwest of Mount Shasta on the Shasta-Trinity National Forest in February 2023.
