The staff of the Shasta-Trinity National Forest track the movement, plots, skid trails and landings of the sale to ensure the contract is being met. Timber and logging companies, Sierra Pacific Industries and Peterson Timber, work an active timber harvest sale in the McBride Plantation area just southwest of Mount Shasta on the Shasta-Trinity National Forest in February 2023.
