Caitlin Pianetta, great niece of Capt. Carl Bauer, takes photos of debris at the B-29 "Colleen" crash site on Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, April 11, 2025. Caitlin is the historian in her family and joined her mother, Liz Pianetta, to see their own family's history in Guam. This crash site would be where Capt. Carl Bauer, Caitlin's great uncle, perished in a tragedy involving engine troubles and bad weather.
