Liz Pianetta, walks through the B-29 "Colleen" crash site on Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, April 11, 2025. Liz Pianetta and her family came to Guam to visit the B-29 "Colleen" crash site. This crash site is where uncle, Capt. Carl Bauer, and his crew perished after battling mechanical issues and bad weather. Liz has always wanted to visit the site. Her father, Capt. Bauer's brother, and her cousin Colleen, Capt. Bauer's daughter, have visited before. Liz and her family were able to make it to the site in 2025 for the 80th anniversary of the accident.
