    26th Marine Expeditionary Unit     

    Marines and Sailors from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and the USS Carter Hall (LSD 50) hosted a social event for distinguished visitors in Corfu, Greece, April 1, 2013. This is a scheduled port visit for the ship, which is currently deployed to the 6th Fleet area of operation. The MEU operates continuously across the globe, providing the president and unified combatant commanders with a forward-deployed, sea-based quick reaction force.
