    26th Marine Expeditionary Unit     

    Marines and Sailors from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) stopped in Corfu, Greece, as part of their scheduled deployment in the Mediterranean aboard the USS Carter Hall (LSD 50) March 30, 2013. The 26th MEU is currently deployed to the 6th Fleet area of operation. The MEU operates continuously across the globe, providing the president and unified combatant commanders with a forward-deployed, sea-based quick reaction force.
