Entrants to the fourth annual Paddling Athletes Association Thanksgiving Food Drive Race, Nov. 17, 2012, in Hawaii Kai, Hawaii, prepare their outrigger canoes for the race. Cold Trade Winds and rain tried to dampen the spirits of the paddlers, but stayed away as the sun warmed the morning. More than 120 outrigger canoes hit the waters around Oahu, including first time racer Master Sgt. Jeff Allen, Pacific Air Forces Headquarters Public Affairs. Allen finished the race in 1:16:23.
