JAVA SEA (Dec. 19, 2022) – Fireman Logan Conrad welds a bracket aboard amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8), Dec. 19, 2022. Hull Maintenance Technicians plan, supervise and perform tasks necessary for fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair of shipboard structures, plumbing, sewage and piping systems. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, comprised of amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) and amphibious transport docks USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and USS John P.
