The image shows a heavy-duty border security fence constructed of rust-colored steel mesh panels supported by vertical steel posts. The top of the fence is reinforced with multiple coils of concertina (razor) wire, and green diagonal anti-climb bars are visible between the upper and lower fence sections. The background reveals an arid desert landscape with saguaro cacti, sandy terrain, and low hills under a clear blue sky.

A quality assurance (QA) specialist with Task Force Barrier visited a portion of the Tucson Sector to do reconnaissance of the existing barrier June 8, 2019. The QA noted the presence of flash flood gates, access gates, harsh conditions, areas where the barrier had been cut and repaired, and steep grades, making some areas difficult to reach.
