A man in a blue shirt stands facing away from the camera along a dirt patrol road running parallel to a border barrier wall topped with concertina/razor wire. The wall appears to be constructed of dark brown/rust-colored steel bollards with green horizontal support beams. The surrounding landscape features desert terrain with saguaro cacti and a hill in the background under a clear blue sky.

A quality assurance (QA) specialist with Task Force Barrier visited a portion of the Tucson Sector to do reconnaissance of the existing barrier June 8, 2019. The QA noted the presence of flash flood gates, access gates, harsh conditions, areas where the barrier had been cut and repaired, and steep grades, making some areas difficult to reach.
