CARIBBEAN SEA (Oct 4, 2017) An MH-53E Sea Dragon helicopter assigned to the "Vanguard" of Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Squadron (HM) 14 launches off the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) in support of Hurricane Maria relief efforts in Puerto Rico. The Department of Defense is supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Maria to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
